P2 R2, Loading Day 2 - 154.4 (+ 1.2 LIW)

That gain is not a bad start for my first VLCD day, though I am a bit anxious I didn't load enough.

I ate fatty foods sure, but not a lot of them. I have been really busy and havent taken the time to stop and spend time eating and honestly I'm just not that hungry! The idea of stuffing my face made me want to gag.

I may pay for that decision over the next few days, we'll see.

Bring on Round 2!

P2 R2, Loading Day 1 - 153.8 (+ 0.6 LIW)

I officially started loading last night at dinner, so Im not sure when I will 'officially' start the VLCD. My first shot was this morning. A bit of a messy start to say the least!

I have to say I do find it hard to 'load'. I really am not hungry for a lot of food. I think that is something that HCG definitely did for me was make me aware of the amounts of food I was consuming, and whilst in VLCD mode, I feel like my body became used to much less food - a good thing for long term!

Here's to my second round and seeing those 140's!

P4, Day 18 152.0 -1.2 LIW

Up a little, but still under LIW so I am happy.

I was intending to load this weekend and here it is Sunday near noon and I haven't started! I just don't have the motivation to eat a ton, the idea even makes me feel sick. This of course is good news for my future!

I will get there, maybe I wont load for the next day or two but I will load and I will start the diet this week, I just need to wrap my head around it. I know there are quite a few other people whose blogs I follow, who are intending on starting this week sometime, which is great. I did well last time being able to compare notes and encourage one another.

I am really looking forward to seeing those 140's! I cant wait to see that magic number 142 - I haven't seen that number since I was pregnant over 7 years ago. Whoop, whoop!

Another great loss, not sure what I did to deserve it, but it makes me happy that I will be able to start loading from such a low weight!

P4, Day 16 153.0 -0.2 LIW


I did the steak and apple day and lost 2.5 pounds. Right back where I need to be. Thank you hcg diet for working exactly as you are supposed to!

Plan is in place for the next round to start Monday or Tuesday. I will load this weekend. Its Friday here and its looking like a perfect weekend for lots of eating out, beach and some great cocktails at a bar, the joys of loading!

P4, Day 15 155.5 +2.3 LIW

I have no explanation for this gain. I actually did well yesterday, eating steak, salad and soups at various times during the day. The only thing I did that wouldn't be considered clean eating was the roll I had with my soup. I am assuming this is carry-over from other cheats.

Today I plan on a steak day given this massive gain and I will report in tomorrow.

P4, Day 14 154.2 +1.0 LIW

I have been pretty busy here and hence my silence.

My husbands grandmother died this past week - she is in the USA and so it did not affect us directly, but still a big week in terms of family. She was a very strong figurehead and a pillar in the community that they lived. She had over 300 people at the funeral, I don't think I even know 300 people! A testament to her life.

My husbands brother and wife apparently turned up at the Shiva and got drunk and embarrassed the family, their 16 year old daughter even uttered the words "please don't make a scene", its never good when the kids are having to be the adults in the relationship. They even went so far as to raid the bar and walk out with multiple bottles under their arms as they left.

They are known for displays like this, so no surprises there - but it still it disgusts my husband and other friends and family members to know her memory was treated with such disrespect. It always amazes me how grown adults cannot take a serious situation and for a few hours put aside their addictions and maintain with some sense of dignity.

Moving on....

Summer is coming to a close here, so we are taking these last few weekends to try and make the most of the beach weather. My son is settling into year one, and we have Easter holiday coming up, which is always fun. Here in Australia we get a 4 day public holiday weekend, but this year we have a 5th day added due to Anzac day falling at the same time. 5 days paid vacation without taking leave is always a good thing!  After living in the US for 10 years I also love the whole 4 weeks paid vacation per year they have here with 17.5% loading as well - that means when you go on vacation you get 17.5% EXTRA on top of your regular paycheck! How great is that?

My weight has not dropped like I hoped but I am maintaining at 1 lb over. I would like to have dropped back to LIW, but I haven't really worked hard at clean eating so I should be happy with how its looking.

I am planning on starting the next round soon. Just waiting for TOM to appear so it doesn't mess me up again like last time.

P4, Day 9 154.2 +1.0 LIW

SO bad!

I have to confess I had pizza yesterday. I did great in the morning. Ate an egg cooked in coconut oil and then for lunch home made tomoato & Thyme soup with spelt crackers. All this was great.

Then dinner.

We had a big storm over here on Friday and so yesterday was clean up the yard day. Branches were everywhere! By the time we finished it was late any my husband suggested pizza. I havent had a slice of pizza in over 2 years. I just knew/know that as soon as I eat such a fatty, carb infested food I gain huge amounts of weight so I never eat it.

Its interesting that given my weight seems to be stabilizing so well, that I feel like both myself and my husband have been pushing the boundaries on 'bad food'. Regardless of weather I gain weight or not, these foods are not good, healthy foods to eat, so I have to ask myself why I am so interested in eating them?

I guess I just need to learn a lesson here and think very carefully about my decisions and why I am making them.

Though I am happy I am only a pound over my last injection weight, I know that this was an 'unnecessary' pound and therefore a waste of a few days to get me back to where I should be.

No surprises there, I ate nachos yesterday (they were SO GOOD!), and a small piece of apple crumble.

P4, Day 6 153.0 -0.2 LIW

Still staying steady thank goodness!

Its been raining up a storm here, we live near the beach and I love the beach during a storm, but not when its day after day. Its still steamy and warm (tropical weather) and so its not cold at all, just wet, wet wet!

Hope everyone is well, I am definitely feeling better, and even went out to check out a linen sale today - I must be OK!

We have a 5 day long weekend in April here in Oz (love all the public holiday long weekends they give us here!) and so we are planning a family trip to Sydney for 7 days. I definitely dont want to be on P2 and preferably not right at the beginning point (stabilizing) of P3, so I need to get this second round started here ASAP!

P4, Day5 153.2 -/+0.0 LIW

Excellent! I am right back where I wanted to be, at my last injection weight, AND I ate an ice cream last night. Im really happy with that.

I am still really struggling getting over this illness, I wanted to start loading Thursday Friday this week and then begin another round. I think I will have to put that off until I am feeling 100%. No use starting this diet with the chance of failure right from the beginning... I cant say Im not looking forward to seeing those 140's though!

P4, Day 4, 154.2 +1.0 LIW

The same as yesterday. I have been ill so Im not working too hard on losing it, but ideally I would like to get to the 152's or 153's before I start loading again - which Im thinking of doing later this week when I am better.

I dont want my loading weight to exceed 155, this way if my weight loss is the same in round 2 as round 1 (12lbs) I would end the round at about 143lbs, only requiring one more round to get me to my 130lb goal.

P4, Day 3, 154.2 +1.0 LIW

UGH. Hate the gain, the next few days are busy so I dont see myself losing. We'll see.

I'm actually thinking of starting round2 as early as late this week. It looks as though my son will be on school holidays when I was originally going to do it so I thought I'd take him to Sydney for a week or so. I can catch up with friends, take him for a ferry ride on the famous Sydney harbour which he hasnt done since he was a toddler, take him to the zoo etc etc.

I'll make the decision in the next day or so, does anyone have any feedback about going straight into a new round when barely into phase 4?

P3, Day 22 - 153.4 (+0.6) +0.2 LIW

I know I have missed a lot of days. Unfortunately I have been really sick and it turns out I had mercury poisoning! Apparently all my heaving a few posts back did not help! I have been flat on my back the past 4 days and am now doing a detox, that hopefully will help.

As for my eating, calories, I haven't eaten a lot, I have felt too ill. But I have eaten all the wrong foods - water ices (ice blocks to the aussies!) for my burning throat (apparently mercury causes burning throat) have been eaten by the dozens! All manner of soups that have usually been cream or potato based, candy to suck on and ice cream. Its been a mess.

I am happy to say that my weight is looking good despite all this. Honestly there is not much I could have done differently. When you are feeling that ill, you just want anything that will make you feel better immediately!

For those that want to know mercury is one of the most toxic substances in the world and it feels horrible when you are poisoined! Agonizing throat pain headaches, body flu symptoms worse than any flu I have ever had, ringing ears, metal taste in the mouth that wont go away, flaking skin etc etc. I dont recommend it. Hopefully in the next few days I will be back on my feet. Im already doing a lot better being able to type here!

P3, Day 16, 152.8 -1.0 (-0.4 LIW)

Woo Hoo!

I finally got back to where I was pre-salt-ingestation-drama!

This is really good, it shows me that my body is stabilizing at around this weight and even if I do something that throws me way off, if I make good choices in the days that follow I will get back to where I need to be.

Included in those 'good choices' was a St Germain, Tequila and Fresh Lime Juice Martini my husband made me last night. I thought for sure I would pay for it today, but apparently my body was Ok with it!

Cant wait to do another round in a few weeks and then get down to those low 140's- high 130's and stabilize there! I will be so excited! I will probably (eventually) do another round also to get to the high 120's I was when I left high school, but for the time being I'd be thrilled to be in the 130's!

I plan on starting my next round on about April 1st, doing another 23 days. Can't wait!

P3, Day 14, 155.5 +1.9 (+2.3 LIW)

OK, before we all (including me) have a fit at this weigh in, I do have an explanation.

Last night I was eating dinner and I felt something weird. I realized my back tooth had broken off and I had swallowed it, along with my silver filling.

This happened to me when I was pregnant with my son. I called my dentist at the time and he said not to worry about it, it would 'come out the other end'. Then later when I saw my Doc he nearly had a fit. Said that silver fillings are 50% mercury - the most toxic substance known to man, and that I needed to get my stomach pumped when it happened, especially being that I was pregnant. You cannot let it go through your system like that, it will affect all your organs. Thankfully though I had a very complicated pregnancy my son is OK.

I have since done a lot of study on this kind of thing and I know how very dangerous mercury is to anyone - and everyone. As soon as I swallowed it, I knew I needed to get it up again. Taking a trip to the hospital was not on my list of things to do, so I knew I would have to make it happen at home.

I instantly poured a LARGE glass of warm water and dissolved 4 tablespoons of salt in it. Yes, that's 4 tablespoons! It was as disgusting as it sounded. After much effort (fingers down the back o the throat anyone???) I was able to get up the filling (and all of dinner). The problem was that salt was sitting on my stomach and felt BAD. It was this horrible acidic feeling. UGH. I felt awful.

Later that night I was sooo thirsty, and I also took 30 capsules of Chorella (known for trapping and mobilizing mercury) and took a lot of water,  9 glasses to be exact! I drank SO MUCH in about 2 hours, I felt bloated and awful, in fact I still do. As of 11am this morning I STILL havent peed. Its all in my system. I guess the salt made me retain it. Its crazy after all that water I haven't needed to pee, its been over 12 hours!

So I'm going to eat well over the next 2 days (Saturday and Sunday) and not worry too much about the scale until Monday morning, I have a feeling it might take that long to get my body back to where it belongs.... and a fun night was had by all!

I deserve this, I've been cheating. The dumb thing is that I ate perfectly yesterday, except I couldn't sleep. At 2am I ended up sitting up watching TV,and eating an oatmeal bar and some hummus and corn chips.

I have no idea why, I wasn't even that hungry really, I just felt like snacking. I guess old habits die hard. Hopefully today if I eat correctly, I can get that number down a good way.

Still seem to be hovering where I need to. I was a little worried about today as last night I feasted on banana chips (I know, a totally weird thing to eat an almost-bag of) but after I was riddled with guilt I checked the ingredients (among which was of course, cane sugar) and they were cooked in coconut oil of all things!

No idea if that helped with the weight loss or not, but I'm happy regardless!

P3, Day 10, 11 - 153.8lbs, +1.0lb, 153.0lbs -0.8lb (-0.2lb LIW)

Well I am just below my LIW today, 153.0.

I have had moments of terror where I see it go up 1.0lb in a day (I drank 2 glasses of wine that day - eeekkk!!) and then I make the right choices and I see the scale where it needs to be.
