Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to check in and say hi and tell you where I'm at!

I didn't do another round, I worked the extra gain of pounds off by getting into a religious schedule of exercising at least 4 times a week - 1 1/2 hour walk/jog (more walk than jog!) or pilates.

I watch what I eat, minimal sugar (weekends only), and all carbs are eaten before 3 o'clock. I got this advice from a Naturopath and it seems to be working. I eat low carb anyway, but make sure I have none after 3.

I am currently maintaining at 140-142 and broke the 130 barrier only once at 138.6. It seems that for me to stay in the 130's I have to work my ass off and be super-strict with my eating, and I'm simply not prepared to be that way.

I'm comfortably into a size 8, some clothes are loose and so I go to a 6. I have noticed in the past 2-3 weeks I am more toned and the size 6's are fitting better. I hope by Christmas with the constant exercise to be able to transition most clothes into 6's.

I have learned that even if the scale doesn't say the figure you want it to, you can still be in the size you were aiming for by exercise and toning. Essentially hard work and discipline with eating really are the answer - at least for me.

HCG did teach me discipline with my eating and for that I'm grateful.

I am blogging a few times a week about life, family and humor over at An Observant Mind, so I'd love to see you over there if you want to join me, and a few times a month over at Natures Conspiracy.

I will keep checking back in, and I hope everyone has a great Halloween!

Update

Its been so long since I have posted! I can't believe I have neglected this blog for so long.

Coming back I see that some of my friends who were doing HCG when I was, have also been AWOL - I guess we are all busy with life. If you guys come by here, drop me a line, I'd love to hear how you are doing!

So for me...

Well I failed this HHCG run. For me there was a definite difference, I really struggled on the HHCG and felt that the weight wasn't coming off as it should. I ended up at exactly 140lbs - not in the 130's as I wanted, but certainly for me, a decent weight and well within the normal range for my height.

I tried to decide if I just wasn't committed and I think that definitely had something to do with it, but the injections vs HHCG for me...I could tell a difference. Perhaps a bad batch? Who knows.

Still, I want to see those 130's (I'm obsessed!) and so I don't think I will call myself finished until I finally get there.

Sadly, we have had a lot going on here and I have not been eating right. I have been eating pizza, pasta and breads - all the things that even before I started HCG I hadn't touched in years, save for the occasional dinner out with friends.

It has not done me well.

A few days back I weighed in at 149.4 eeekkk! I was annoyed (OK more than annoyed), that I let myself get back there, and the fear of seeing those 150's again motivated me.

However, I am trying something a little different for now...

I have been sugar free for 3 days, and carb free for 3 hours (ha!)

My plan was to cut out sugar for one month, and then introduce only natural sugars (fruits, honey etc), for another month,  and then allow myself occasional cheats of sugar when out to dinner etc.

Though I had a screaming headache for the first 3 days (addicted to sugar, who me?), I got through it - today feel really good, and have also lost some weight. That being the case, I wondered if I cut out all refined carbs (rice, bread etc), what kind of difference would that make to my weight and well being also?

I have also made sure I walked at least 45 minutes per day. Its spring here and the beaches are beautiful and so walking is not a chore.  I am not hungry, because I eat all I want - without being ridiculous of course, I eat until I am no longer hungry - not until I'm stuffed!

As at today (morning of the 3rd day) I was 147.4 - so we'll see where this takes me.

I will be sure and drop back in at least once a week to let you know how and where this is going.

Before I go, if you want to read a really hilarious account of my sisters first experience into the dieting world, you can check out a post on my other blog here. I promise you, it will make you smile (even as you will probably commiserate).

Hope everyone is well out there and whatever diet you are currently working,  chin up and remember:
'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels! '

(oh and of course you're health is important too ;)

Round 3, Phase 2, Day 5 - 143.0lbs (-0.4) TWL 3.6lbs

Checking in.

Small loss, but the number is going down!

I'm doing HHCG this time, so it will be interesting to see how/if it differs to the injections.

Round 3, Phase 2, Day 4 - 143.4lbs (-3.2)

I havent posted my beginning of the diet in posts as Ive been pretty busy, so here's the details:

Day 1 VLCD 146.6 (loading weight weigh in)
Day 2 VLCD 145.6
Day 3 VLCD 145.2
Day 4 VLCD 143.4

Of course as anyone who has been a regular reader will know, I am aiming for the 130's. In a perfect world Id like to be in the early 130's but ill take mid 130's as an end point. I don't seem to lose as dramatically on this diet as some others, so we'll see where this round takes me.

Hope everyone is well out there, I intend on spending some time this evening catching up on peoples blogs. Look forward to being a little more 'checked in' to the community!

I have finally finished my website and its up and running, check it out!

143.6 (+/- 0.0)

Still staying firm here but not losing.

I have finally gotten the foods I need and will be starting the new diet today - will see what comes of it. I also have myself scheduled in for pilates four times this week, so we'll see what a check in next week brings with regard to weight loss (I hope!)

I hope everyone is well, wondering how a few of you are doing, its been ages since we've seen you and I miss checking in with you! Drop me a note if you can, let me know how things are going.

I know over in the US its 4th July today, have a happy day and enjoy the sunshine and fireworks!

143.6 (+0.8)

I have pretty much stayed around the same weight, though I havent been 'dieting' at all.

I have as usual tried to make good choices. Bad food for lunch, good food for the rest of the day. So far maintenance is fine, but I still need to lose. Need to make the decision to go with this un-hcg diet or not.

Need to make decisions!

I have been so busy, had a lot of jobs come through (I am a freelance writer by trade) that have had me up until 3am some mornings trying to get them done, and my study is killing me on top of it, I'm considering switching to a part-time load. I love it though so its a hard decision.

I have never mentioned my other blog in a post, but if you haven't heard about the horrific things that have happened at Iowa Select Farms to piglets and mother pigs, I think you need to. Either do a search for it or check out the post on my blog .

Anyone that eats pork needs to boycott the pork at Safeway, Costco and Kroger, and in your restaurants. This is beyond horrific and anyone who considers themselves humane should never support these practices with their grocery dollars.

Have a great day everyone!

Day 6, 142.8 (-0.0)

Well, not good and not bad.

I really had a pretty busy day yesterday so food was a bit of a hit and miss with no real schedule:

Breakfast: Egg, 1/2 buckwheat pancake with real maple syrup

Lunch: 2 bites of my sons steak for lunch and a bite of his corn (ie. really no lunch)

Dinner: I made a delicious yellow curry with coconut milk, chicken, spring onions, potato, cherry tomatoes and rice. I ate, barring the rice. It was GOOD.

Not sure why no loss, could be the weird eating day, could be karma for my cheats the day before, could be because I under ate! Who knows? Until tomorrow...

Friday, June 17, 2011

Day 5, 142.8 (-0.6)

So I screwed up after dinner by eating some dessert (at least I shared!), but even so I had a decent loss.

This is really going to be an interesting experiment to see how this does over the long term. So far every day I have made the reasonable choices I have lost.

I also took a pilates class yesterday, which felt SO good to get moving again.

I just realized that today's weight got me back to where I was when I last finished the HCG round. So I have effectively spent the past 5 days getting rid of the excess 'party pounds'. From here on in, it will be able to be considered 'actual weight loss'. And so it begins.

Here's my foods yesterday:

Brunch: Broccoli with cheese and sour cream

Snack: Marys Gone Crackers x 3 w/ cheese and tomato
Snack: (I was hungry!) 1 boiled egg

Dinner: Roasted chicken, carrots, peas, sweet potato, gravy. (I didn't eat the potato that the boys did and I only ate 1/2 my sweet potato, wasn't sure where it rated for this diet (ie as too 'carby' or not).

Dessert: Shared a cream caramel with cream and ice cream with my hubby (filled with sugar!)

Thursday, June 16, 2011

Day 4, 143.4 (-1.6)

A good loss and I stuck pretty religiously to the eating like I needed to, I will be interested to see what the loss is tomorrow if I eat on course again today. Will it be as big a drop? We'll all find out soon enough!

Breakfast:

Unsweetened yoghurt with almonds

Lunch:

4 x "Mary's Gone Crackers" seed crackers

1/2 tomato

1 slice cheese

Dinner:

Lamb roasted in Rosemary and red wine with onions, carrots, corn a very small jacket potato with cheese and sour cream. Cooked in Olive oil.

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Day 3, 145 (+0.4)

I ate:

Breakfast: None

Lunch: Out, gorgeous beef and mushroom pie with a salad and Cosmopolitan cocktail and a glass of red wine.

Dinner: Garden Salad w/ balsamic vinegar for dressing and Home made sweet potato and coconut soup (yummo but not so great for a low carb diet!) I passed on the bread roll my hubby and son ate.

Snack: (It was State of Origin game 2 tonight - huge deal here in Aus) Organic Corn chips with hummus and a bite of my sons ice cream and cookie concoction my husband made him (sooo good!)

So clearly I wasn't sticking to well to my diet. I need to get my head in the game and get religious about this if I want lose instead of gain and to get to these 130's without having to do another round of HCG.

Day 2, 144.6 (-1.8)

Well I expected a decent drop - not from diet necessarily, but from not eating as badly as I had been!

1.8 is a good start and will get my back on my way down.

Yesterday I ate:

B: Oatmeal in the morning with unhomogenized organic milk and a few organic almonds

L: Salad with grilled chicken and balsamic vinegar as dressing for lunch

D: Home made Sweet N Sour Pork for dinner (incredible tasting recipe on all recipes!) though I didnt eat any rice with it, but it DOES have sugar in it (that I substituted with agave syrup)

I did snack after dinner just ate 3 'Marys Gone Crackers' organic seed crackers (so delish they are my fav!)  with about 1tbsp hummous

So I wasnt really eating no sugar/low carb, but it worked for me anyway.

Today I have already blown the 'low-carb' since my hubby took the day off work and we went to lunch and a movie together and I had a cocktail - we'll see what tomorrows numbers show like...

'The Experiment' Day 1 - Starting Weight: 146.4

So here is where the damage stops! I actually was 146.8 yesterday morning but this morning (Tuesday here) with everyone gone, the house cleaned up and the 'party' style foods and drinks either eaten, drunk or disposed-of, this is the weight I woke up to.

I actually had a really fun weekend (as evidenced by the weight!) I made a 'Thanksgiving in June' dinner for everyone here - we don't eat most of the traditional thanksgiving items here in Australia so it was cool to cook them for everyone and hear and see their reactions. I did it up traditional style: turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, bread rolls, gravy,  pumpkin and pecan pies.

It was all home made (even the rolls - from scratch!) Nothing worse than introducing something new to people and having them not like it because it doesn't taste like it is supposed to. My husband was in heaven - given we missed Thanksgiving all together last year. It was a normal day here so hubby was at work and my son at school and with just the 3 of us I wasn't planning on cooking up a storm - I think I may have made him a pumpkin pie out of sympathy, so this was his 2010 Thanksgiving (somewhat delayed).

Anyway, we had a blast and it was a real success with everyone marveling over the new and strange flavors (pumpkins is roasted here with a leg of lamb - pumpkin as a dessert was considered bizarre!) I was asked to make it an annual event, so I call that success - even with 5 extra pounds to show for my efforts.

So now I am ready to give this 'un-hcg' a go and see where it may (or may not) lead.

The plan is to try this way of eating until mid July when I have a party to attend in Sydney. (yes another trip to Syd, I'm thinking I should just give up and move there!)  Upon return if I am not liking the loss results I will do my last round of HCG to get to those 130's.

As you see my title has changed. Ill just call this 'the experiment' for now, here's to day one!

Round 2, Phase 4 week 3 143.3 (+2.1)

Yes I have gained a few pounds in only a week :( I have been to Sydney and back for a few fun-filled days earlier this week and right now its the start of a long weekend here with my sister and her man in town. We have been opening more than a few bottles of nice wine :), enjoying a few too many mojito's and indulging in some awesome foods and desserts!

In short, I have not been holding back AT ALL. Nothing more to be said.  I knew my traveling and 'in holiday' mode would end this way.

Come Tuesday (day after long weekend fun) I will knuckle down and behave myself and a work on the 'non-hcg' diet and see how it treats me. If I don't see much change I plan on round 3 of HCG by the end of June to get me to those 130's dammit!

Happy Queen's birthday holiday weekend everyone!

Round 2, Phase 4, Week 2 - 141.0 (+0.2)

I wasn't going to report in since it was bad news :) but thought I would just update anyway, I have certainly been doing nothing right in terms of diet and I plan to do my 'best' (whatever that means!) until the week after next.

This weekend as I mentioned we are going down to Sydney again for 4 days and next weekend is a long weekend when my sister and her boyfriend will be coming to stay. After that, operation 'get-your-butt into-gear-and-lose-some-more-weight-dammit!' is in order!

In the meantime my goal is to try not to gain too much. A good goal to have!

Round 2 Phase 4 Week 2 - 140.8 (-0.2)

I have gone up an down quite a bit, have not been keeping to the HCG principals of gradually introducing more foods into your diet as I have been supposed to. I have also not been doing the 'un-hcg diet' either.  Just basically eating as I used to, which I know is not a recipe for weight loss and I still have at least 12lbs I'd like to lose, more if possible.

That said I am here about 5 days since I last posted and am down 0.2. Clearly not a weight loss regime, but nothing to be unhappy about!

So I am taking another trip to Sydney next week, and when I get home I plan to implement the un-hcg principals for 1 month to see what the results are. If I don't lose on that,  I will be planning one more round of HCG, so I guess the next few months will be interesting!

Round 2, Phase 4, Day 1, 141.0 (-2.4)

WOW!

I am not sure if its a fluke or not, but tried the 'un-hcg' diet principles yesterday. This is the result. WOW!

I really don't know what to say and of course I have no idea if it was a weight loss that was coming after my big gain anyway, or if its totally attributed to the new style of eating. Regardless, I'm at my lowest weight ever during this journey, so Ill take it!

Coincidentally, yesterday was the first day of phase 4 for me. I plan on using these same principals of 'un-hcg' over the next few days to see what the results show and will be sure to continue to post. I also think  I might buy a glucose monitor, to really try and give it a good go and see what this program is all about.

Round 2, Phase 3, Day 21, 143.4 (-0.4)

<sigh> Well, we all know that it always takes a lot longer to get it off than it does to put it on! I'm so mad at myself, when will I learn?? I hate that I am what feels like weeks back because of one bad night of eating and drinking!

I do still feel like a part of the problem is water retention, my fingers are so swollen that my wedding rings are uncomfortable and I cant even remember when that last happened!

I am out tonight for a girls night, hopefully its not too hard to make good choices, but I have to admit I don't expect any losses tomorrow, just maintaining would be nice.

I have been reading up on the blog that everyone has been talking about the "anti-HCG" diet (or whatever its called!) It is fascinating to me, but I wanted to know if anyone knows where the information can be found in a concise and easy to read way?

Though the info is interesting, it seems to be disjointed and not labelled well to be able to find things. I still don't get from all that I have read what the ratios of foods should be and what are meant by 'fats'. Clearly we cant just eat spoonfuls of mayo, so I am assuming fats means foods, though I get that fats don't mean meats, because they count as proteins, which are supposed to be eaten in a lesser manner. Are fats cheese and sauces? What other more filling items can be counted as 'fats', and where are the sugar-free dessert recipes that are mentioned? I haven't been able to find them!

OK, I guess what I need to say is I'm confused! Confused but interested and wanting to try it, but don't really know how to go about it. Also the testings that are mentioned, I am not sure if they are even possible living in Australia, unless I can get a Doctor to order them for me (highly unlikely). Any thoughts or suggestions anyone?

Round 2, Phase 3, Day 20, 143.8 (+2.4)

EEEKKK! Well as G commented the other day, when we make the right choices the weight comes off, when we dont.... this is what happens!

We had the State Of Origin last night - its a big football game (1 of 3) that we have here in Aus, that pitts all the best football players from 2 states against each other. Its HUGE (like superbowl huge) and we had an impromtu get together for it at our place which included a lot of chinese food and yummy cocktails.

This is apparently the result.

Hopefully a well-behaved day will get most of this excess gone by tomorrow. I assume a lot of it is sodium since I am thirsty as hell today!

Onwards!

Monday, May 23, 2011

Round 2, Phase 3, Day 18, 141.4 (-0.4)

Getting closer, hope the good losses continue as I make good choices!

Round 2, Phase 3, Day17, 141.8 (-0.4)

Woo hoo!

It goes to show when you put your mind to it and eat properly and do a little bit of exercise, mother nature takes care of the rest!

I am excited and motivated to try and keep this up and see where I can be tomorrow - until then...

Saturday, May 21, 2011

Round 2, Phase 3, Day16, 142.2 (-0.2)

Sorry I have been gone so long, my studies have been kicking my butt. Part of the curriculum for holistic medicine is....medicine! (DUH!) I knew this but chose to believe it wouldn't be as hard as I imagined. In reality its harder! Anyway, I have been head-down in the books and have been pretty much AWOL from all my online activities. My apologies.

To summarize, I did hit over 145lbs after a (Fun!) night out with great friends, great food and too much wine and dessert :( I ended up doing a steak day and then a few days after that went right back to P2 eating but with more calories. That got me back to where I am today, and I plan on adding the fats back in gradually again. I knew I shouldnt have done it, I was being way too lax with my eating.

I still would like to get focused to get below 140's during this phase, so that when I do my next round I could potentially see the high 120's at the finish  - a dream I never thought would be possible, but...you just never know! Ill keep working at it, but for now I have not been doing pilates and yoga as much as I wanted and haven't been doing a daily walk that I do religiously. I think as soon as I get this super hard exam out of the way, I will have a bit of breathing room and be able to focus more on diet and exercise.

I DID get myself a pair of size 29 jeans...woo hoo! And to be honest, in not-too-many-pounds I think they will be too big, they are slightly loose already. Loving that!

I hope everyone else is doing great and feeling motivated. We are going into winter here - the hardest time to diet in my experience, when warm and filling foods seem to have more calories!

Friday, May 13, 2011

Round 2, Phase 3, Day 7, 142.4 (-0.8)

What a drama with blogger being down! (and up and down and up and down again).

Its been so long since I posted I wont do all my in-between weights, this is where I am today. Down 0.8 from my last recorded weight here. I havent had too many huge fluctuations, and as I did last time, I am finding stabilizing pretty easy than goodness! I still have a goal to get to 140 before I start a new round. Surely that shouldn't be too hard, thankfully I am 0.4lbs lighter than my LIW (Last Injection Weight) anyway, so it seems that losing more is possible.

I do want to respond to some wonderful people that have left such encouraging comments on my post but I haven't had the chance, I am crazy-busy with an exam coming up in Naturopathic Philosophy, and have been trying to get as much study done as I can in my spare time.

I plan on taking Monday off and will make sure I comment and visit everyone then - if I don't cheat and take a peek before at how you are all doing! Oh and I will post my chicken soup recipe for you all too!

Hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend!

Monday, May 9, 2011

Round 2, Phase 3, Day 3, 143.2 (-0.4)

I did lose so that's great, but I want to get back in those 142's again so its a well behaved day for me!

My son has been really sick the past few days, so I have a HUGE pot of "Jewish penicillin" (chicken soup) on the stove right now. Smells delicious and its what I am planning on eating exclusively for the next 24 hours! I don't put any sodium in my chicken soup other than 2 teaspoons of sea salt, so should be OK for me.

I am finally in a position to sit down and read over everyone's blogs and progress over the past 4 or 5 days and look forward to seeing how great you have all done. Let me get to that now...

Have a great day!

Round 2, Phase 3, Day 1,2 143.6 (+0.8)

The gain was of course inevitable with going away to a winery. Of all places, a winery!

It was a great surprise and we met my sister and her boyfriend and my parents there for a fun mothers day weekend. We did a lot of walking, wine tasting, sitting by fireplaces and eating (though to my credit I tried to make good choices and not go crazy)! They had baby chicks for my son to admire and ponies for him to ride. Normally it would be a great weekend, but not exactly diet material!

That being said, I will watch carefully what I eat today and try to get it down again. I am not over the "2 lbs over last injection weight" yet, so I don't feel the need to do a steak day. Hopefully I wont need to!

Thank you to all who have commented on my blog and congratulated me, it is so appreciated! Now I am back I will get to looking at your blogs and seeing where you are at.

I trust all the mothers out there had a wonderful mothers day where you felt appreciated and loved as I did!

R2, P2, Day 23, 142.8 (-0.4) TWL 11.6lbs

I hit it!

So happy I hit the 142's! This was my ultimate goal before I started that I really didn't think I was going to hit, so I'm very grateful.

Please excuse this short post, its mother's days weekend and we will be away with our extended family at a winery for the weekend (food temptations anyone??)

This was a surprise for me from my husband so I have to run off and wont be back until late Sunday night - will be sure and check in on Monday morning.

Have a great weekend everyone!

R2, P2, Day 22, 143.2 (-0.8) TWL 11.2lbs

Its interesting to me that though I seem to have lost less per round than most other people, it looks like my losses for both rounds will be almost identical! I was so happy to see such a good loss this morning...is it possible I will see 142 before the end of this round leaving me only 10 more pounds until my goal?  I will be so excited!

Thanks SO much for everyone's comments on the photo - I hate putting photos up, I never quite like them enough, I am usually the one behind the camera in our family, so there are few photos of me and they are far and few between, so it was nice to feel the love on this one!

I know so many of you are struggling with this diet and let me tell you both rounds I have struggled too. It is NOT an easy diet despite what some people say. It takes so many things in your life to be aligned right - home life, motivation, work and social lives and a big one is support - which I think you will find in buckets in our little blogger community here, but its no good if the people around you are scarfing down burgers and ice cream right in front of your face.

That being said, if you dont make it for whatever reason, don't feel like you failed, just know that this time was maybe not right for you, for this diet right now. Continue with your healthy eating choices and some kind of excercise and the weight will come off with this formula in time, it is tried and true. Don't ever give up finding the right formula that works for you to be the healthiest and hottest you can be!

If you are interested in reading a little more about our foods and what is in them and why we need to make informed choices, I have a health related blog I write here. I am studying Naturopathy, Western Herbal Medicine and Nutritional Medicine right now, so I am learning more and more every day and love to share what I have learned with others. You might be shocked at some of the information as to what is in our food that governing bodies and big business are not telling us.

I do want to give a shout out to metamorphose-me who has recently started the diet, go on over, follow her and show her some love!

Have a great day everyone!

R2, P2, Day 21, 144.0 (-0.3) TWL 10.4lbs

A loss, though not great. I have to say at this point I'm looking forward to being done with the diet - bring on day 23! Motivation is definitely waning. lol. This round has been really a struggle for me.

I wanted to post this picture taken when I was 148lbs, (sorry iphone pic, not very good quality!)  I have lost another 4 since then and my goal is 12 pounds more slow and steady wins the race, right?

I know my most faithful follower Holly will appreciate this photo the most - she relishes any photos of me, enjoy my friend!

I am most happy that I am comfortably back in to my favorite Jeans that I love and haven't been wearing - that's a motivator if ever I heard of one! I also went back to pilates class today, which I haven't done in a number of weeks. It felt good and I'm going to commit to going 3 times a week again.

Enjoy the day everyone.

R2, P2 Day 20 VLCD 144.3 - 0.3 (TWL -10.1lbs)

This is pretty much how it went last time this far in, small, small losses that take me a week to get a pound off.

I am at day 20 and was going to mix up a new batch and keep going but considering the small losses I think I will just finish at the recommended 23 days and take a break, because I know my motivation will wane.

Last time I stabilized really well and even lost a little more weight in Phase 3, so hopefully that will happen this time. If I can get into the 143's before day 23 and then lose a pound or more I will well beat my goal of less than 144. I can't complain about that, just wish I had some of the 15+ pound losses I see other people have, but I guess my body doesn't like to give it up!

I do have to remember all the inches I have lost and that I will be about 22lbs lighter than I was an well within the 'normal' weight range for my height. AND I purchased a few clothes yesterday, in a size 6! What's not to love about the wonderful size 6?

I think I will take a little more time off between the rounds this time in case having these rounds fairly close together caused some kind of immunity to it. I will finish on the 7th and then wait until at least July to start a new round I think. I will of course continue blogging on my weight both for accountability and as a record of my journey.

Monday, May 2, 2011

R2, P2 Day 19 VLCD 144.6 - 0.2 (TWL -9.8lbs)

So in the past 3 days Ive lost only 0.4lbs. I wont lie, Im frustrated.

However, I did eat a small bit of chocolate yesterday, my son had some leftover easter eggs he was 'sharing' and I took a piece, and I ate it. And of course now I feel like it affected my loss. No one else to blame there!

I also didn't get much water at all in yesterday. After feeling like I was over-drinking the day before I reversed the whole thing and under-drank yesterday. When will I learn? Protocol needs to be followed to the letter for the losses to happen.

I have a plan for a perfectly behaved Phase 2 diet today. I have my salad and chicken ready for lunch, I have been drinking my water this morning. I am determined to see a decent loss tomorrow.

Wish me luck!

R2, P2 Day 18 VLCD 144.8 - 0.0 (TWL -9.6lbs)

Grrr.. no loss today.

I atually drank almost double the water that is suggested yesterday, no idea why really but I drank a TON and was worried it would make me gain if it didn't all go through me. No gain but no loss. Not happy of course, but whats a girl to do?

We'll see what tomorrow brings.

R2, P2 Day 17 VLCD 144.8 - 0.2 (TWL -9.6lbs)

Well, though its a really small loss I'm super excited.

I finally am in the 144's! Lowest weight in years! 3 more pounds and I'll be the lowest I've been since I had my son 7 years ago - it's so close I can taste it! (pun intended... ha!)

So no matter how small the losses or how long the stalls may go I need to continue this journey, after all I owe it to myself, right?

I just realized I missed a huge moment in this process, I've passed the 20lb mark!

I started Round 1 of this diet on January 16th at 165.2lbs. Though it has been 41 days of ACTUAL dieting, the way the HCG diet and rounds works, it works out to 1/2 pound per day! Not quite the 1-2lbs per day HCG promises (and that I have heard some people  - mostly men - can achieve), but pretty darn good nonetheless!  I have lost 20lbs thus far in 41 days of dieting, yay for me!

I hope you are all having wonderful weekends with continued success. (Or at very least an iron will if you are struggling!)
